When I was in this fascinating city two summers ago, I couldn’t believe how lucky I am. To be honest, it was not in my top 5 list of places to visit in the USA, but it made the cut.
I would call Las Vegas – a city of lights, because this is what I saw from the airplane. As soon a I walked out of the airport, I was welcomed by a huge wave of warm air. Since, we had 2-3 more days there, and were very tired, we only drove around the city for a while and went to sleep. But the lights…oh, those lights. Neon signs, music, laughter… I could remember everything that I saw that night from the car.
Half of the next day, we spent on a bus to and back from Grand Canyon. More about our journey there, you can read here – The Grand Canyon – another of Mother Nature’s miracles.
After we came back from our day trip, we took a walk around the city. Everything was overwhelming. The city was so alive. The incredible fake Paris, with its small replica of the Eiffel Tower. The beautiful Venice, with its gondolas in the water. The ceiling was painted so marvelously, that I actually thought that was the sky. We walked a little more and then got back to eat and sleep. The next day we were in LA, for a day trip and had to get up really early. Here is more about my amazing day in the city of angels – Road Trip to Los Angeles.
But, the night was ours. We got ready and went to explore the famous Sin City. First, we ate pizza at New York, New York hotel. Then we played for a while in their game room. My cousin won a fluffy toy. There was one particular game, where you hear a song, watch something on the display, that showed you the steps and then had to jump and dance in tact. Honestly, we were not good at it, but at least we had a lot of fun! 😀
After we finished with the games, we got on the New York, New York roller-costar. I have a fear of heights, and even if this one wasn’t the tallest in the world, I was scared. Overall, it was a great experience. I would do it again for sure.
After that we got Margaritas in some huge glasses and continued our walk. We stopped to watch the fountains before Bellagio. They were astonishing. The music was so beautiful and touching. The moves of the water were synchronized and nice. The shapes, they were cleverly creating, were amazing.
Our next stop was the casino in the hotel and then the next casino, and then the next one… Don’t worry, I didn’t lose any money and my cousin actually won some. We were hoping to win a car, but the luck wasn’t on our side. That was my first time ever in a casino, so I enjoyed it very much.
One of the nights, we went to listen some Bulgarian music and I was pleased to drink a Bulgarian beer. Our last day we spent shopping in a huge Mall, where I got some presents for family and friends. I love Las Vegas and I still have more things to see there, such as the Stratosphere and the famous sign “Welcome to fabulous Las Vegas”.
